From the Ed Wood school of filmmaking comes
this hilariously inept Christian docu-drama short, produced by the
students at Biola University and designed to uplift us with the story
of Charles ‘Tex’ Watson’s miraculous salvation,
from Charles Manson’s most savage aid to redeemed (albeit still
incarcerated) church minister within ten short years. As Watson,
Paul McGinty at times resembles a young Keanu Reeves (and looks ridiculous
as he sits in prison wearing a wig and moustache that look to have
been made out of cardboard, staring stone-faced as he answers questions
put to him by a young lady dressed as an Amy Grant wannabe). Mark
Caso plays a well-fed Charles Manson in this cheesy yet wholly enjoyable
exercise in spiritual recruitment.
